This policy explains how NexTranslate Private Limited ("NexTranslate", "we") handles personal data when you use www.nextranslate.ai or our services. NexTranslate also operates through NexTranslate LLC in Wilmington, Delaware, United States.

Information you give us: name, email, phone number, company, project details, files you upload, service requests, and messages sent by email, chat or our forms.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, time on site, referring URLs, and cookie and analytics data.

We process personal data with your consent, to perform a contract with you, to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving our services. Here is how each purpose in section 3 maps to a lawful basis under Article 6 of the GDPR (including the UK GDPR) and under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act):

• Delivering translation, localization and related services: performance of a contract under the GDPR; under the DPDP Act, a legitimate use, because you provided the data voluntarily for that service.
• Responding to enquiries and preparing quotes: performance of a contract, including steps you ask us to take before entering into one, under the GDPR; under the DPDP Act, a legitimate use, because you provided the data voluntarily for that purpose.
• Improving our website and services: our legitimate interests under the GDPR; your consent under the DPDP Act, which you give or refuse through our cookie settings.
• Sending marketing emails: your consent, under both the GDPR and the DPDP Act. You only receive them if you opt in.
• Protecting our systems, preventing fraud and meeting legal obligations: our legitimate interests and our legal obligations under the GDPR; legitimate uses under the DPDP Act, including compliance with law.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@nextranslate.ai. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

• Linguists and partners working on your project, under non-disclosure agreements
• Service providers for hosting, analytics and payments
• Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights

We use AI tools to produce the first draft of a translation, which professional linguists then review, edit and check before delivery. AI tools process your content only to deliver your project. Client content is never used to train AI models.

We operate in India and the United States, so your data may be processed in either country. When personal data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, including to India or the United States, we protect it with Standard Contractual Clauses approved for those transfers. When personal data is transferred out of India, we do so only as permitted under the DPDP Act.

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide our services or meet legal requirements.

We acknowledge every grievance promptly and resolve it within 90 days. If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you have the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Our services are not intended for anyone under 16. If we learn that we hold data about a child, we delete it promptly.

Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

When we update this policy, we change the "Last updated" date above. We tell you about significant changes by email or on our website.
