What roles does NexTranslate hire for?
Translators, language reviewers, localization engineers and project managers, plus multilingual AI evaluators. Linguists and evaluators usually join our freelance network, and core team roles are listed above when open.
Do you hire freelance translators?
Yes. Most of our linguists work with us on a freelance basis through our network, matched to projects by language pair and subject experience.
How are linguists selected?
We look at language proficiency, relevant subject experience and the needs of each project. Every linguist signs an NDA before working on client content.
Do I need to be a native speaker?
For translation work, yes: you translate into your native language. Reviewers are also native speakers of the language they review.
Will I work with AI?
Often. Many projects start with an AI first draft that you edit for meaning, tone and cultural fit. Your judgment always decides the final text.
What does AI evaluation work involve?
Rating and commenting on AI model outputs, such as chatbot answers and translations, against a scoring rubric. Evaluators are selected by language and domain, then given task-specific onboarding and rubric alignment before live work starts.
Which subject areas need linguists most?
Technology and SaaS, finance, and healthcare and medical content are our largest areas. We also work on legal, e-commerce, marketing, education, gaming and travel content.
How do I apply?
Use the form on this page, or email info@nextranslate.ai with your CV, language pairs and subject areas. We contact you when a project or role matches your profile.
